AI CLI PRO (“we,” “our,” or “the Extension”) is committed to maintaining high standards of privacy while delivering a high-performance experience. This policy outlines our commitment to transparency and data minimization.

1. Core Philosophy: Performance & Privacy

The Extension is built on a local-first architecture. Your code and prompts stay on your machine. We use minimal, anonymized telemetry strictly to ensure the Extension is fast, stable, and reliable for all users.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

• Zero Personal Data: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any government-issued identifiers.
• Zero Credentials: We never request, store, or transmit your API keys, tokens, or passwords.
• Zero Sales: We do not, and will never, sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Anonymized Usage & Performance Telemetry

To make the CLI faster and better, the Extension may collect anonymous usage metrics and error verification data.

• Purpose: This data is used exclusively for performance optimization, error resolution, and understanding general usage trends (e.g., “Which features are used most?” or “Does Agent X fail on certain OS versions?”).
• Scope: Telemetry is limited to aggregate statistics and technical error logs. It does not include your prompts, code, filenames, or any data that could be linked to your individual identity.
• Sponsorship Metrics: We may report aggregate installation counts to our sponsors (e.g., “Total installs of Agent Y”), but this never includes user-specific data.

4. Third-Party Services & CLI Tools

AI CLI PRO serves as an orchestrator for independent third-party tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude, OpenAI, Ollama).

• Direct Interaction: When you use an AI agent, your data (including prompts and code) is transmitted directly from your machine to the third-party provider. This data is governed by the third party’s privacy policy.
• No Interception: We do not proxy, monitor, or intercept the communication between your machine and these services.
• Package Managers: Operations like “Provision” or “Update” connect directly to official registries (e.g., npm, PyPI, GitHub). These connections are standard and direct.

4. Local Data Storage

To provide its functionality, the Extension stores minimal configuration data (e.g., cached installation status of local agents and release note history) locally on your device using the VS Code Global State API.

• Control: You can view, modify, or delete this data at any time by clearing your VS Code global storage or uninstalling the extension.

5. Legal Requests for Information

Because we do not collect or store your data, we have no data to provide to law enforcement, government agencies, or third-party litigants in response to subpoenas or other legal requests.

6. Children’s Privacy

The Extension is a tool intended for developers and is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Extension’s functionality or legal requirements. Updates will be noted in the extension’s version history and the repository.
